Women's Tea Cookies

I made 100 of these beautiful cookies for the CCO Women's Christmas Tea. Their theme was "Father of Lights" and James 1:17. I hope the ladies were blessed. :)

Place Card Holders

December 2012
Place Card Holders

I like to have some special placecard holders on my Christmas table. Usually this kids make them, but this year I had something in mind. Of course it had to do with cookies! I love how they stand up. They made our table special and my grandpa LOVED eating his after dinner was over.

My husband requested these cookies. He reminded me about them every other day. He wanted a special gift for the secretary at his work. She is an awesome lady and I love and appreciate her so much so we wanted to create something great for her to show her how much we appreciate her! Jeff found out her favorite color is purple and this is what we came up with. Well, he snoozed on the sofa and this is what I came up with. ;) It's the thought that counts, right?

Buche de Noel

Buche de Noel

My favorite cake of the season was this Yule Log. I made several of them during this Christmas season. They are incredibly easy and very yummy. I especially like them because the light sponge cake is not too heavy after all of our holiday meal exploits. The pine cones are made from almonds and fondant and the pine needles are chocolate. The kids got a kick out of these. They love it when I make things that do not look edible. Next year I am going to make some meringue mushrooms and add a log on top to make it more traditional looking.

Gift Boxes

Gift Boxes

A local company requested some Christmas gift boxes for their clients. They ship citrus so we wanted to incorporate that into the gift boxes somehow. I ended up doing 20 dozen for them! It was a challenge to do so many and I had to hire an assistant that week, but it was worth it to see all of these together. So fun! Merry Christmas!
